007 →Shell

2025.4

This project originated from my deep fascination with shells. In nature, they embody a unique duality—both fragile and resilient. A hard outer surface encases a soft interior, forming a barrier that symbolizes the boundary between inner vulnerability and the external world. To me, the shell is more than a physical form; it is a metaphor for memory, silence, and the passage of time.

I began by collecting images and making hand-drawn studies of shell structures. Then, using digital tools such as TouchDesigner, MeshLab, Nomad Sculpt, and Cinema 4D, I transformed the shell into a three-dimensional spatial element. Through this process, I explored the expressive potential of organic textures, point cloud formations, and real-time visual effects in the context of stage design.

Even when faced with technical challenges, the project became an opportunity to experiment with how natural forms could shape immersive environments and evoke emotional resonance through multimedia scenography.

The interplay between softness and strength, between the act of protecting and the state of being protected.
